Looking to outsource to an EMS partner? Then don't miss Subcon 2019

The UK's premier subcontract manufacturing show Subcon returns to Birmingham's NEC this June 2019, showcasing the best of British manufacturing alongside dozens of world-class international suppliers.

The event will combine three co-located exhibitions - Subcon (now in its 43rd year), the bi-annual Advanced Manufacturing Show and The Engineer Expo - and brings together the latest innovations, products and partnership opportunities for the manufacturing and engineering industries.

This year's schedule of conference presentations will be grouped around five core topics: Advanced Manufacturing, Design & Innovation, Supply Chain Solutions, Women in Engineering and the Supplier Network.

Confirmed speakers include: Riona Armesmith (Chief Project Engineer Hybrid Electric Propulsion: Rolls Royce Plc), Steve Banton (Channel Manager at Robotics ABB), Neil Hopkinson (Director of 3D printing at Xaar) and Mike Lawton (CEO of Oxford Space Systems).

If you're planning to attend, then here's everything you need to know about coordinating your visit and getting the most out of the event.

You can also pre-book parking at a special reduced rate. A regular shuttle service will run between the car park and the halls throughout the show .

Tips for making the most of your visit

With so much to see, you may find it helpful to prioritise your top picks of vendors and presentations - and to pre-book appointments with the companies you know you definitely want to meet.

Check out the floor-plan before the day to  identify the location of all your must-see exhibitors and take any guesswork out of finding your way around. And allow a little buffer time between each of your scheduled appointments, just in case a meeting runs a little longer than expected.

Take a few minutes at the end of each day to review each of the companies you spoke to, and to compile the key takeaways from each meeting. If companies are offering any special trade show deals then you may want to make a note of these too.
